Motels

A motel room gives you a stash for your things. Dream View and Motor Motel rooms also have a wardrobe.

MotelWeekly rentWho can rent
Crastenburg Hotel, Del Perro$10,000Anyone
Dream View Motel, Paleto Bay$10,000Gold supporters and above, and Hydrated players
Motor Motel, Route 68$25,000Gold supporters and above, and Hydrated players

Each character can rent one room at the Crastenburg, plus one at Dream View or Motor Motel.

Rent comes out of your bank account each week. If your bank can't cover it, you lose the room, but not your things:

  • Dream View or Motor Motel: choose Recover Items at the motel's front desk.
  • Crastenburg: rent a room again, and your stash is still there.

Owning Property

Houses, apartments and other properties can be bought by Hydrated players (see Supporting Hydrate).

  • Browse and buy in the Real Estate app on your tablet. Some properties are sold outright, others by auction. You can also request a viewing key to look around first.
  • Limit: two properties per account, across all your characters.
  • Inside your property you can furnish it, lock and unlock it, add roommates and manage parking.
  • Storage and wardrobe: buy them from the Property Furnishings shop at the Country Club (storage $200,000, wardrobe $50,000).
  • Spawn there: your properties show up as spawn points when you log in.

The Real Estate Desk

The real estate desk at the Country Club cuts spare keys ($1,000), changes locks ($2,000), and holds anything recovered from a property you no longer own. If you've lost Hydrated status, collect recovered items from the clerk just outside the club.

Keep it active

A property goes back on the market if the character who owns it hasn't been played for 60 days, or the owner no longer has Hydrated status. Anything stored inside goes to the real estate desk to collect. Selling a property back to the state returns half of its price.
