Commands
Useful chat commands in Hydrate: reporting, roleplay and emotes, vehicles, HUD and settings, and fixes for when something goes wrong.

Press T to open the chat box, type a command and press Enter. Commands work with or without the leading /.
While typing, Tab completes a suggestion and ↑ / ↓ step through suggestions or your previous commands.
Chat is for commands
There's no out-of-character or global text chat in the city. Talk to people with your voice, phone or radio, and use /me to describe what your character is doing.
Help and Reporting
| Command | What it does |

/report | Report a player to the staff online. See Reporting a Rule Violation. |
/ids | Show player IDs over everyone's heads for 30 seconds |
/id | Show your own player ID |
/bug | Send a bug report to the development team |
/death_timer | How long it's been since your character last died. See the New Life Rule. |
Roleplay and Emotes
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/me [action] | Show what your character is doing, above your head for a few seconds. For example, /me checks their watch. |
/e [emote] | Play an emote. /e c cancels it. |
/emotes | Open the emote menu (same as F5) |
/walk [style] | Change your walking style. /walk reset goes back to normal. |
/nearby [emote] | Ask the closest player to do a shared emote with you |
/carry | Carry the closest player. Run it again to put them down. |
/roll [sides] | Roll a dice that people nearby can see |
Vehicles
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/givekeys | Give keys for your vehicle to everyone inside it. Use /givekeys true to include trunk access. |
/seat [number] | Move to another seat. Seat 1 is the driver's seat. |
/door [1-4] | Open or close a door |
/window [1-4] | Roll a window up or down |
/leavetrunk | Climb out of a trunk |
HUD and Settings

/hud | HUD settings: what's shown, theme, speed units and layout |
/hudedit | Move and resize HUD elements |
/fpsbooster | Graphics settings to improve your frame rate |
/vol [1-100] | Radio and phone call volume |
/streamermode | Mute music played in the city, for streaming |
/adsettings | Change how business adverts appear, or turn on Do Not Disturb |
/scoreboard | Scoreboard (same as Delete) |
/hat, /mask, /glasses, /shirt, /vest, /pants, /shoes, /bag | Take off or put back on that piece of clothing |
When Something Goes Wrong
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/stuck | Free your character if they're frozen or stuck in an animation. Takes 30 seconds and is logged. |
/fixtextures | Reload the world around you when buildings or roads haven't loaded |
/resetvoice | Reconnect your voice if people can't hear you, or you can't hear them |
/reloadskin | Reload your character's appearance if it looks wrong |
/here | Let the server know you're not AFK |
/clear | Clear your chat |
